Hand Crafted Guitars

Traditionally Styled

Vintage Tone

Light & Resonant

My guitars are built one at a time, with good resonant wood, hot-hide glue & French Polish Shellac.

They are light-weight & strong, simple & elegant, pretty but not overly-ornamented.

They are built for the enjoyment of the player.

Vintage violin for sale

including new deluxe case, $900.

This French violin, likely from the Thibouville-Lamy shop in Mirecourt, was sold by Lyon & Healy, Chicago in 1913. A 4/4 size, fine woods all around, and fully restored by me. It has a big resonant tone, ready to go another 100 years. Violin & new deluxe case.

   The Bluestown

A Bluestown L-0, Honduras Mahogany top, back,   flamed sides, & neck. Cocobolo fret board, Brazilian Rosewood bridge, Black Walnut binding & trim.

Its deep open voice, the balanced and articulate tone is a product of the light-weight build, scalloped spruce bracing, hot-hide glue construction, and French Polish Shellac finish.

The Bluestown L-0 is my homage to a 30's Gibson L-0, with 14-3/4" @ lower bout & 4-1/4" deep.

Short scale, 14 frets to the body, 1-3/4" nut, 2-1/4" string spacing at the bridge. Bone nut, saddle & pins.

The neck has an active steel truss-rod,  and a soft-V profile.
